These pages provide a brief summary of what’s in each chapter of our book, How The Brain Works: What Psychology Students Need to Know.
In the book, we deliberately excluded from the text the citations and references found in usual scientific writing, to make it easier to read and the core ideas more transparent. But you may be asking yourself, what’s the evidence supporting each idea – how do we know all this stuff is true? Well, being scientists, we’re big into evidence.
To complement the book, then, we’ve put together this website, which includes references to the scientific evidence supporting each of the points we make. There are also additional comments, ideas, material, diagrams, video clips, and jokes that we couldn’t fit into the final version of the book. We hope you find these additional resources useful.
